This fantastic drawing is by @art_by_jayj , when Justine suggested a collaboration for your birthday, the first thing that sprang to my mind was the books that represent your year, those that you have mentioned and those that relate to the films you have been working on. A stack of books seemed appropriate as it makes me think of Elio ☺️
Thank you for being such an inspiration in so many ways, and particularly for the books you have inspired me to read, most recently Alan Rickman’s diaries. I started by reading the books your movies are based on, then those that you had mentioned, and now I keep finding more and more books that link to you or your movies in some way. I have been on a fascinating literary journey, it has been a great way to read lots of new and interesting books I might not otherwise have read.
